T.H.A.T.S.I.T. Mommy: Blog Transfer: {WordPress.com to Self-Hosted}
Tee actually contacted me by leaving a comment on one of my WordPress tutorials and expressed her interest in moving from her blog which had been hosted on WordPress.com to a self-hosted platform. After exchanging a few emails back and forth, she decided to enlist my help in transferring her blog to its new home. She was particularly interested in gaining more control over things as well as being able to implement additional functions by utilizing plugins. I transferred her existing design elements over and plugged them into the Thesis theme. After the switch, we ran into a couple of issues with her feed, but worked them out and she’s now up and running on her self-hosted WordPress installation!
